SK Tools was founded in Chicago in the early 1920's and began making hand tools in 1932. In the years that followed they became a standard to judge others by. SK was the first to patent the round-head ratchet and I still have many SK brand tools dating back 20 or more years. For a number of years SK also manufactured Craftsman brand.It's true that SK was acquired by a Chinese company in 2021 but as far as I can tell the tools in this review are manufactured to their original standards and made from the same materials. Chrome vanadium steel is one of the best choices for tool and these wrenches are as precisely machines as any I've seen.I bought this set in particular because I needed them to work on my tractor and ditch-witch both of which have some very large bolts and are built using the SAE standards. These are long handle tool, large and heavy and even using a three-foot pipe to leverage them, I had no problems. I can't see them ever breaking or bending under normal circumstance. (Chrome vanadium steel is harder than carbon steel and more likely to break rather than bend.) I also very much like the slender look and feel.This is a five-wrench set including the SAE: 15/16", 1", 1-1/16", 1-1/8", 1-1/4". For me and mu usage, I'll probably never need anything larger. The set comes in a durable roll-up pouch that Velcro's closed or can be hung on the wall using the metal grommeted holes.I've been using tools most my life and SK brand are still at the top of my preference.
