I had a larger pair of the same brand (Knipex) plier wrenches, and the mechanical advantage was awesome, but they were too heavy for repetitive work. These are small enough to fit comfortably in my hand (and the extra padding on the handles is also nice), but still have very good mechanical advantage.I use them mostly to crimp terminals onto the ends of wires; ring terminals, fastons, occasionally anderson powerpoles, etc. There are special tools you can get for crimping terminals, but the good ones are expensive (yes, even relative to this tool), and you need a separate one for each type of terminal. These plier wrenches also work well for turning down nuts and bolts, but I use them for that less frequently.The main good thing about these tools in my mind, is the crazy amount of gripping power the mechanical advantage gives you. I have strong hands, but with these I can easily squeeze a small piece of 2 mm thick aluminum until it is almost paper thin. The main bad thing is how *$#&ing expensive they are. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, they have diagonal score marks on the jaws for extra grip, which doesn't bother me, but it does mar surfaces.
